Snell David were appointed to provide a design solution for a growing family in need of larger reception space and greater connection to their garden. 

The property had already been extended and improved on the upper levels to provide additional bedroom accommodation but this left the house unbalanced with a need for greater living accommodation.

 

Apart from the "front room" and the hall, the rest of the ground floor layout was redesigned and extended to form a new utility room, large family kitchen and a new sitting room. The solution provided a new extension into the garden providing a terrace from the existing rear facing rooms. The new family living space, kitchen and dining all open generously onto the terrace and garden beyond with iroko louvres providing privacy and shading to the large areas of glass.
