The practice was asked to help clients who own the penthouse apartment in a large Edwardian mansion block with spectacular view over the Thames at the starting point of the Oxford & Cambridge boat race.

 

The owners had purchased the flat below and wished to combine the two flats into a larger family home with two roof terrace gardens.

 

The resulting scheme included the installation of a new spiral staircase which rises dramatically into a frameless glass pod located on one of the roof terraces. Elsewhere the flat was fully refurbished, altered and modernised throughout.
