RADWINTER

ESSEX

Snell-David Architects were appointed to design this bespoke development in the rural village of Radwinter, close to the architecturally renowned historical town of Saffron Walden. The brief required a sensitive reflection of the nearby vernacular, which included a fragmented scattering of different styles. Snell David responded with the creation of appropriate character types to suit the range of properties proposed. The final result is a culmination of correct period detailing and respectful re-envisioning of the local architecture with 35 new modern or traditional homes.
