Located close to Oxford city centre this ‘gothic-style’ semi-detached 4-storey house was remodelled and extended by Snell David a number of years ago but stands the test of time.

 

Arranged over split levels it was possible to integrate the lower ground floor level with upper levels at the rear thereby integrating the house more successfully with its charming small garden to the west. The contemporary rear extension is clad in zinc in contrast to the architecture of the host dwelling and is articulated with a bright spine wall in red consistent with other bright colours used elsewhere to enliven the interior.
