Snell David were appointed to design a new build detached house, creating two plots from one larger corner plot with an existing dwelling. The design needed to be sensitive to the Conservation Area and rural character of this established Cambridgeshire village.

The 120 sq.m three bedroom house is a contemporary design, consisting of two distinct wings using traditional materials of brick and weatherboarding.  High standards of insulation and careful detailing ensure the house has low running costs. The two storey layout was originally designed to facilitate a future loft extension, which has now been added to create a 4th bedroom.
