New clients approached Snell David to obtain planning permission for a new house on part of their large plot – the intention being to sell the plot with permission granted.
The original cottage on the site had a Grade 2 listing in spite of being overwhelmed by large unsightly extensions prior to listing.
Working closely with the conservation team at South Cambridgeshire District Council, it was agreed that a sustainable ‘contemporary vernacular’ barn like building with its main wing running front to back on the site would be most appropriate limiting the size to 3 bedrooms..
