This project is typical of some of the regular commissions that Snell David enjoy undertaking. When the owners bought the house it was unaltered and very inward-looking leaving the interior dark. It was impossible to fully appreciate the sizeable rear garden and the opportunities for views, daylight and space.

By judicious demolition of original rear additions it was possible to limit the extent of structural alteration. It was however possible to create a generous full-width single storey extension forming a bright and light Kitchen / Dining / Dayroom space suited to modern family living. Large sliding doors allow the family rooms to spill outside and for daylight to penetrate interior spaces.
