Snell David Architects were asked by our clients to re-design their family home to provide them with a large multi-functional open plan space. 

 

In response to this brief Snell David designed a modern and visually striking side extension and proposed the remodelling of existing internal spaces.  The modern extension utilised extensive panels of glazing to bring natural light into the existing spaces and through the implementation of large format bi-fold doors the family is able to open the living spaces to the garden.  The remodelling of existing spaces saw an enhanced ground floor with a luxury kitchen integrated with three living areas.

 

Alongside the modern extension, other key design features such as the frameless pop-out window and first floor balcony coupled with a redecoration of the existing facades have given this house a new lease of life for the future.
